ISS International Conference ‘Throughout time, across borders: Navigating child protection and restoring family links.’ 9th of October, 9 – 6pm CET in Geneva and online



To mark our 100th Anniversary, the ISS Network is organising a series of public events such as an Exhibition ‘Across time and borders’ – A century of serving children and families, an Academic symposium and debate on ISS history, an international conference and a 100th anniversary dinner.

We invite you to join our International Conference. Through multi expert panels representing ISS Network, academia, national authorities, and international and national organisations, we will explore issues related to, among others, ISS history, children on the move, search for origins, family based care, child abduction and mediation, and the future of child protection and social work.

The conference will take place on the 9th of October 2024 between 9am – 6pm CET in Geneva and Online, in English with no available translation.

Confirmed panellists and moderators will represent the following organisations: International Social Service Network, Hague Conference on Private International Law, UNICEF, UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, Government of Switzerland, Government of South Africa, University of Bristol, Maastricht University, and other professionals from partner organisations.
